The Haitian National Police continues to intensify its operations against the members of the 400 mawozo gang. Many of these operations have resulted in deaths, injuries and arrests. This suggests that the members of this criminal organization operating in the commune of Croix des Bouquets have not had an easy time of it in recent days, to the point that the leader of the group, “Lanmò san jou”, even fled his base shortly after the shooting death of his lieutenant, “Kòlèg”. For the moment, the members of this gang are scattered and disorganized.

Not a day goes by without alleged criminals being arrested and shot for being suspected of contact with the 400 mawozo gang. This gang is showing great weaknesses after an accelerated increase in the rate of defections within the criminal organization in recent days. Several members of the group including the leader have deserted to join other bases.

Are we moving towards the total dismantling of the 400 mawozo gang? This is the question that observers are asking based on the latest interventions conducted by the police in the gang’s stronghold in Croix-des-Bouquets.
