Hundreds of pilgrims came to Torbeck, in the South Department, for the commemoration of St. Joseph’s Day this year.
Most of them, men, women and children, came from many parts of the country and were dressed in their best.
For them, there is no doubt that St. Joseph has a good heart and will grant their wishes.
On January 5, the wishes were not different from those formulated in previous years: money, homes, delivery of visas, childbirth but also bad spells in the context of settling of accounts.
St. Joseph’s Day in the city of Boisrond Tonnerre is also an opportunity for people to display their small businesses in the hope of making some profits to cope with the hazards of everyday life.
Some people take advantage of it to grant themselves a respite from the worries caused by the economic situation by going to unwind in recreational activities such as dance parties majestically animated by musical groups of several trends.
Radiant, the revelers return to their places of origin making offerings to the underprivileged in order to quickly benefit from the good graces of St. Joseph.
