The head of the audit department of information systems at the Bank of the Republic, Jacques Faubert Etienne, shot dead on February 22 in downtown Port-au-Prince. He also taught at the Faculty of Sciences of the State University (UEH).
He recently completed a master’s degree at the University Jean Moulin, Lyon 3 in France. The deceased, who was hit by several projectiles, left his wife and two children.
On December 7, 2021, he narrowly escaped a kidnapping attempt.
