The name of the President of the United States appears in documents related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

According to multiple sources familiar with the matter, Attorney General Pam Bondi informed President Donald Trump earlier this spring that his name was mentioned in newly reexamined materials connected to the Epstein case.

The information was reportedly conveyed during a confidential briefing at the White House, which was also attended by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, according to The New York Times.

The exact circumstances under which the president’s name appeared remain unclear. However, the documents in question are believed to be previously unreleased materials, uncovered as part of a renewed investigation led by the FBI and federal prosecutors. According to The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, several other high-profile individuals were also mentioned during the same briefing.

Donald Trump, who was once known to have ties with the disgraced financier, has consistently denied any involvement in Epstein’s alleged crimes. The president has stated that he severed all ties with Epstein in the early 2000s, claiming he had banned him from his Mar-a-Lago resort due to inappropriate behavior.

In a joint statement to the press, Bondi and Blanche said: “As part of our routine briefings, we informed the president of recent findings. At this time, nothing in the files warrants further investigation or prosecution.”

Asked for comment, White House Communications Director Steven Cheung declined to address the content of the briefing directly but dismissed as “fake news” any implication that President Trump was involved in criminal conduct related to Epstein.

This was not the first time the president was made aware of sensitive documents tied to the case. In February, Bondi reportedly handed him several binders extracted from the Epstein archives, including personal contact information for his ex-wife and daughter. Those details had already fueled speculation about the scope and significance of names listed in the financier’s records.

A source close to the president, speaking on condition of anonymity, downplayed the importance of the latest revelations. According to this person, Trump’s name had already appeared in documents made public earlier this year by the attorney general and therefore came as no surprise.

Justice Department officials have reportedly continued to keep certain executive branch members updated on developments in the case—a practice that, institutional sources noted, remains fully compliant with current legal standards.
