I like to see the tweets of the Haitian Prime Minister, Ariel Henry, when he feels sorry for foreign dramas. His last one was in the early days of this December.
He tweeted to express his solidarity with the American victims of the tornadoes ravaging Kentucky and Illinois in particular.
But it seems that the dramas of Martissant do not reach him. It seems that he is not informed of what the Haitian population is suffering in Gonaives, Gros Morne, almost everywhere in Haiti and especially in the so-called lawless neighborhoods.
But the entire Haitian capital has become a lawless zone.
Almost the entire country is experiencing daily dramas that are intensifying with the complicit silence of the highest authorities of the Republic.
It seems that those who lead us are our most fearsome executioners. It seems that they ally themselves with armed gangs to terrorize us!
These bloody images of fathers, children, teachers, pregnant women, murdered by these soulless scoundrels of Martissant, without any humanity, do they not reach the leaders of the State?
Why no tweets? Why no expression of sympathy? Is it because they deserve to die or because they are not flesh and blood beings?
We are content every day to accuse, to complain, to accept our fate and to live in the most boring conditions without revolting.
We watch our fathers, our mothers, our children, our friends die under the murderous bullets of these lawless thugs. We live this shitty life as if it were a gift.
We refuse to understand that our governments are our executioners, that they are definitely the allies of the bandits, and that otherwise they would act in the direction of a solution.
We refuse to understand that we have to get rid of them in one way or another. We refuse to revolt.
And how long are we going to wait?
